Patient Name: Shaikh Ismail

Medical Condition: Post-cancer surgery infection and tissue damage
Required Help: ₹1,50,000
Shaikh Ismail is a poor brick-making labourer from Latur. He was diagnosed with cancer in April 2025 and had to undergo surgery in May 2025, followed by radiation therapy. During his earlier treatment, he received support through government schemes, used his family savings, and also took financial help from friends and relatives.
For the past one year, Shaikh Ismail and his family have been living in a rented house. Due to his illness, he is currently unable to work or earn a livelihood. His wife is managing the household by working as a domestic helper in multiple homes, while their three children are still studying in school.
Unfortunately, his health condition has become more serious. Since July 2026, he has developed a severe infection and major tissue damage at the previous surgery site. A hole has developed on his cheek, from which pus is continuously coming out. Food also comes out through the opening while eating, making it extremely painful and difficult for him to eat and live normally.
Doctors have advised that plastic and reconstructive surgery is urgently required. The estimated cost of the surgery was initially around ₹2,50,000. After the MY Smile Foundation team requested the doctor for financial consideration, the doctor agreed to provide the maximum possible concession and reduce the treatment cost.
Even after this concession, the family still needs to arrange approximately ₹1,50,000 to complete the surgery.
Shaikh Ismail’s family has already exhausted their savings and borrowed support for his previous cancer treatment. They are now unable to manage the remaining medical expenses on their own.
This patient urgently needs surgery and continued medical support. Your donation, small or big, can help Shaikh Ismail receive timely treatment, reduce his suffering, and support his family during this difficult time.
